In what regards the first paragraph of this article:
I think it is rather inappropriate to refer to this man as an "Australian father", given the circunstances and the natures of his crime. "Australian convict" would make more sense, yet the the same sentence already used the word "convicted", so it might sounds repetitive. Perhaps "(...) an Australia convict" and then "sentenced" instead of "convicted"?
Just a thought.
