Surely this whole article is bollocks?

Sums up Robert Elms very well though. Applemask 11:45, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

  • I have never heard of Robert Elms before stumbling onto his Wikipedia article, and from it I could easily see how I could develop a fannish attitude toward him. An old school New Romantic? Anti-Beatles, especially John Lennon? Both counts are only hugely positive to me. That he is loyal to his city exclusive of every other city in Britain is an error in judgement I can easily ignore. Well done, Wiki article creatorbeingperson. (Krushsister 02:10, 17 December 2006 (UTC))
    • Well if you can't hear anything of worth in the Beatles music but think Spandau Ballet are one of the greatest bands ever to come out of the British Isles and that you can detect 'real soul' in the voice of Tony Hadley then yes, Robert Elms might well be the critic for you. He thinks Adam and the Ants are 'quality' too, so maybe that's another plus. The rest of us, who might have a semblance of musical sense and don't appreciate listening to the inane rants of a hypocritical, musically illiterate champange socialist, usually switch him off. Besides, the real reason Elms hates the Beatles is not because of their music but because they were not from London - horribly for him, they were from the North. If they were from London, he'd love them. 138.253.235.60 12:14, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

To the above, with the IP 138.253.235.60, do not write highly inaccurate information about the person in this article. The inaccurate Bibliography section was removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.74.249 (talk) 12:34, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Well I apologise but the Bibliography entries were obviously humourous (although he does hold all those views, aside from Lennon being worse than Hitler I presume) and I had assumed that they would be removed within minutes. Obviously not. In any case, Elms' article has been "highly inaccurate" for a long time anyway, according to the man himself apparently. And the article dosen't even mention Elms' infamous appearance on The Tube TV show in the early/mid-80's, which is the thing he is most famous for outside of London. 138.253.244.135 (talk) 08:51, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I seem to have aquired a different IP address, not sure why. 138.253.244.135 (talk) 08:53, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

why is there a psyduck on the robert elms page?

Not anymore. Must have been some tosser who did it.

[edit] Wikipedia denounced by Robert Elms

On 23 April 2007 at about 13:00 UTC (14:00 BST), Robert Elms on his 12:00 to 15:00 BST broadcast on BBC London said that Wikipedia is "wildly inaccurate" especially as it relates to his own article. As he is a living person, it would seem appropriate to purge this article of unsourced statements.--TGC55 13:16, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
