[edit] A request

To any wikimembers who can help. There is an anonymous user who keeps putting information into this article that just can't be verified. No source is ever cited for either the original entry or the cutting and pasting of that entry which they keep putting over the top of mine. I have checked this actor at his IMDb page, and at any other pages that I can google and it shows that he was acting, at least, up until 2003 (except for the webpages which are simply of copy of this wikiarticle when the information was inaccurate). This user also keeps listing performances that cannot be verified while the ones that I substitute can be. There is also no info on the retirement to Ireland but, as I cannot find any thing on the web that refutes this I just leave the citation needed tag. I am not sure of the procedures to protect this page from this vandalism so if you could leave me a message here or at my talk page on what I need to do next I would appreciate any help that you can give.MarnetteD | Talk 16:42, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

That guy has claimed to be Craig-Morgan [1]. I've tried to contact him but as he seems to be editing under different IPs that's proving a struggle. Hopefully he will read this talk page now the article is semi-protected. If you are the editor who claims to be Craig-Morgan, can I suggest you taken up your problem with the IMDB? We have no way of telling whether you are who you say you are, and are using the IMDB as a trusted source - if they have got it wrong, they need to be told, and then we can change the WP article. Otherwise, if you can provide references that are at odds with the IMDB article, then that would be good too. Drop me a message on my talk page if you have any queries. --Jim (Talk) 11:35, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
My thanks to all for the help in this matter. I have found that IMDb's information about films and shows that were created before their website got going can contain inaccuracies. Realizing that this anonymous user might be correct that two Robert Morgans have gotten confused I went at the verifiability problem from another angle. I looked up each of the individual programs that were listed. The Grange Hill, Clifton House Mystery and The Tripods listings were all on the IMDb page for the Robert Morgan who was in I, Claudius. The programs entitled The Country Boy, Third Time Lucky and David Copperfield (in the case of the shows with multiple listings I chose the ones made in the 1980's) all had an IMDb page but there was no Robert Craig-Morgan in the cast roles nor was there any mention of the character names that our anonymous user mentioned. The only program called The Muse that fit the required time frame was an animated short film with no cast listed. I realize that I may have overstepped the bounds of Wikicivility by calling this user a vandal and I apologize. If they can provide verifiable sources I will be happy to see this page altered accordingly but please don't type '5yrs' when 'five years' is available, and looks more professional.MarnetteD | Talk 13:07, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
