"In October 2007, Robert Caro was a "Holtzbrinck Distinguished Visitor" at the American Academy in Berlin, Germany." -> AFAIK, he wasn't. He could not come to Germany as he had the unique opportunity to interview a contemporary of Lyndon Johnson's.
