Robina Courtin

Robina Courtin (born Melbourne, Australia, December 20, 1944[1]), is a Tibetan Buddhist nun in the Gelugpa tradition and director of the Liberation Prison Project.[2] Her work was featured in the documentary films, On the Road Home (1998) and Chasing Buddha (2000), and Vicki Mackenzie's book Why Buddhism? (2003).[3]
Director Amiel Courtin-Wilson's film Chasing Buddha documents the life of Courtin and her work with Death Row inmates in the Kentucky State Penitentiary.[4] In 2000, the film was nominated for best direction in a documentary by the Australian Film Institute.[4]
