Robin McCallum

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robin McCallum (previously Robin Lermitte) is a British weather presenter for ITV London on London Today and London Tonight during weekends and as cover when main presenter Chrissie Reidy is away. Robin has also presented the weather on occasions for ITV Meridian in Southampton and ITV Anglia in Norwich.

Robin has previously worked as an actor in minor roles - most memorably as Detective Chief Superintendent David Graves in the BBC drama Between The Lines and as D.I. Bob Ashley in EastEnders (1988-1989) - before entering a competition on ITV's This Morning in 2002 to become ITV's newest weather presenter, which he subsequently won. As a result he became an ITV National Weather presenter, until he joined the London regional weather team alongside fellow forecasters Chrissie Reidy and Manali Lukha in 2005.

Robin was registered with the actors union, Equity but due to there already being a Robin McCallum registered he chose the surname Lermitte. In 2007 he reverted to using his real surname - McCallum after his equity membership expired.
