Robin Kelly was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 38th District. The district includes Country Club Hills, Flossmoor, Harvey, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Markham, Matteson, Oak Forest, Olympia Fields, Park Forest and Richton Park.
Kelly received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Bradley University and her Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University. She serves as a Cook County Commissioner on Human Rights, on the board of the Rich Township Food Pantry and the Illinois Theatre Center, and is co-founder and past president of the Unity Coalition of the South Suburbs; she is also a trustee for Bradley University. She is married and resides in Matteson.
