Robin Brownlee. Hockey writer and columnist. Covers the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League for the Canadian Press and Team 1260 radio in Edmonton. Wrote for the Edmonton Sun from December 2000 until January 24, 2007 as the tabloid's senior hockey writer.

Brownlee, born Aug. 16, 1958 in Vancouver, British Columbia, has resided in Edmonton since 1989, the same year he joined the Edmonton Journal. Brownlee became The Journal's main Oiler writer in 1998, assuming the position from Jim Matheson, before moving to The Sun.

Journalism awards include 1985 and 1987 MacMillan Bloedel Award for editorial and column writing, 1997 Associated Press Award for enterprise reporting, 2001 Ron Collister Award as Sun Media sportswriter of the year and 2003-04 Professional Hockey Writers Association runner-up award for best hockey news story.
