Arcuri's mother entered her into the Miss Teen California Pageant when only 13 years old and she placed runner-up. This exposure was all the talent scouts needed and she soon signed on with John Casablanca's Elite-Petite Division for talent and modeling. Advertising and magazine covers followed for such notables as Maybelline, Teen, Vogue, Glamour, Orange Coast, Muscle & Fitness, Shape Magazine, BusinessWeek, Cover Models, and Cosmopolitan. In a few short years Robin's height, 5'6", caught up to her and she was told that she was too short to succeed in fashion modeling. This didn't discourage Robin Arcuri as she was highly motivated and determined to "make it" in the fashion industry. Thanks to her natural beauty, it was not difficult to find clients who would support her already burgeoning career. She then opened new doors into the high fashion and fitness markets. She did runway, editorial, catalog, print, showroom, lingerie, swimwear, and fitness apparel, followed by television commercials, product modeling, lifestyle modeling, corporate modeling, product demo (promotional modeling), trade shows, sports/athletically proficient/fitness, stock photography, character modeling, and body-part modeling. In glamour, Arcuri worked in the areas of swimwear and fine art.

Though modeling could have become an easy source of income, Arcuri's true passion had always been in performing arts. While in film school at California State University, Fullerton she met illusionist Shane Nia and began assisting him in performing magic and illusions. At 17 years old Robin and Shane performed at The Magic Castle, Los Angeles and The Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California. This led Robin into regional and national commercials while she continued to model, attended high school, and studied the craft of acting at CSUF. When she turned 18 she was the first fresh-faced model under 5'8" tall known to walk the runway for couture designers worldwide. Through her modeling contacts, she was able to nudge her way into the American film industry and, in 1992, she made her first big screen debut in Miracle Beach as Miss Germany and made a guest appearance with Rick Dees on Into the Night. In Miracle Beach, directed by Brad Krevoy, Arcuri's role wasn't significant, but it gave her enough of a taste for the industry that she decided to pursue an acting career at full throttle. At the age of 23 Arcuri signed a six-month contract to model overseas in Japan. This contract had her temporarily living in Tokyo and Osaka while modeling for MAD (Models Against Drugs) and Cosmopolitan. It was there that she studied and learned how to speak the Japanese language Nihongo. For the next few years Arcuri continued to model and act overseas in Germany, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Mexico City.

Arcuri was a spokeswoman for Mountain Dew and has appeared in several celebrated TV commercials, including the 1999 Dallas Stars NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Her regional and national advertisements have included L'Oréal, Mountain Dew, Evian, Ralph Lauren, Body Glove, Asssociates National Bank, Badger, and Budweiser. In 1999, Arcuri did her first nude photo shoot when she appeared on the cover of Playboy Special Edition, "Voluptuous Vixens III." Her issue completely sold out. She has never appeared nude in any film, television or video to date. In 2006, She returned to the runway modeling fashion for couture designers in the Fashion week runway shows.

In 2007, Arcuri was seen in the feature film Ripple Effect, as well as a cameo appearance in season three of HBO's hit series Entourage (Adios, Amigos). She also associate-produced the feature film movinG. In May 2008, Arcuri is scheduled to shoot and star in the feature film Totem produced by Whitehorse Entertainment.

[edit] Personal life

Arcuri is an Italian American, an only child, with eight half-siblings. She is intensely private about certain aspects of her personal life; she has never been married, and she has no children. In an interview with TEEN magazine in 1990 she stated that she was going to marry her career. She has never smoked and does not use drugs of any kind. She is fond of holistic, herbal and alternative medicine. Arcuri grew up Catholic, Jewish, and Baptist, has "great respect for all religions," and enjoys reading religious texts. She and her family celebrate both Christmas and Channukah. Arcuri has been romantically linked with CEO of New York City Telecommunications Company, Inc. E. Denton Jones, actor Wolf Larson, and Tony Roman of Empire Intelligence Incorporated.
