Robin's Donuts

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robin's Donuts is a large Canadian chain of donut shops that operate in provinces across Canada.

[edit] History

The first store opened in 1975 in Thunder Bay, Ontario; there are now approximately 240 stores. There are no stores in the Toronto market. Robin's Donuts (along with a few other food franchises) was acquired by the Afton Food Group in 2000 for C$30,000,000. However, Afton ran into financial trouble and went bankrupt. It closed a good portion of its locations for financial reasons, being unable to compete with rival Tim Hortons. In June 2006, the privately-owned Toronto-based coffee and donut chain Coffee Time acquired the Aftonfood Group and all of its assets for an undisclosed amount.

[edit] Menu

The chain's signature item is coffee, but it also sells doughnuts, muffins, bagels, soups, submarine sandwiches, and pizza.
