Roberto Sánchez Ramos

Roberto J. Sanchez Ramos is the current Secretary of Justice of Puerto Rico, appointed in 2005 by Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá. Prior to becoming the Secretary of Justice, Sanchez Ramos served as Solicitor General of Puerto Rico. He is the son of former Governor of Puerto Rico Roberto Sánchez Vilella and born out of wedlock. He comes from a prominent family. His mother, Jeannette Ramos Buonomo, is a retired judge, who's retirement pension placed in question and his grandfather was Ernesto Ramos Antoninni, an important figure in Puerto Rico's politics. Also, his aunt is Ivette Ramos Buonomo, a well known professor at University of Puerto Rico's Law School.

After law school, A.G. Sanchez-Ramos clerked for Justice Federico Hernández Denton of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and for Judge A. Wallace Tashima of the Ninth Circuit.
