Roberto Garcia Cortez, (born 1975-01-29 in San Pedro, CA), is a professional boxer.

Known as "Grandpa", Peden turned pro in 1992 and captured the vacant IBF super featherweight title in 1998 with a decision over Harold Warren. He defended the title twice before losing it to Diego Corrales by TKO in 1999. In 2000 Garcia was upset by Ben Tackie via TKO, and then lost again to Joel Casamayor in 2001 via TKO. He retired later that year.
