Roberta Gilchrist

Professor Roberta Gilchrist FSA, MIFA (born 1965) is a British archaeologist, who is currently Professor of Archaeology at the University of Reading. She gained her PhD in medieval archaeology from the University of York, and has specialised in the archaeology of the medieval period in the UK, especially in relation to the archaeology of religion, and the archaeology of gender. She is a Member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London.

Her professional and academic roles have included being Archaeologist to Norwich Cathedral,^[1] and President of the Society for Medieval Archaeology.
