The Robert S. Abbott House is the former home of Robert S. Abbott, founder of the Chicago Defender newspaper. Located at 4742 South Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Grand Boulevard community area of Chicago, Illinois, the building earned National Historic Landmark status in 1976.^[1]^[3] ^[4]

Abbott lived in part of this house from 1926 until his death in 1940.^[1]
