Robert “Bob” Rosenfeld (born January 8, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY[citation needed]) is recognized for over 35 years of experience in the fields of organizational innovation and creating social capital[citation needed]. He is the first Innovator in Residence at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina[citation needed]. Rosenfeld’s first book Making the Invisible Visible (ISBN 1-4134-6533-1)[citation needed] shares his eight human principles that sustain innovation[citation needed].
Rosenfeld holds a BS in chemistry from Drake University (1969)[citation needed]. In 1978, he created the Eastman Kodak Company's Office of Innovation[citation needed], which was the first infrastructure of its kind to be successfully implemented inside an organization[citation needed]. In 1981, Rosenfeld co-founded the Association for Managers of Innovation (AMI)[citation needed]. In 1988, he founded Idea Connection Systems, a company that focuses on creating environments which fosters the creative spirit and unleashes an organization's potential to innovate[citation needed]. In 2001, Rosenfeld created Mosaic Partnerships, an innovative process for cities and communities that break down barriers between races[citation needed]. He was given the Martin Luther King Community Peace Award in 2004[citation needed]for his contribution to the eradication of prejudice in the Rochester, NY Community[citation needed]. In 2008, Rosenfeld was given Innovator in Residence Emeritus status at the Center for Creative Leadership[citation needed].
