Robert Richter (lawyer)

Robert Richter QC is a prominent Australian barrister. [1] Richter is the former chairman of the Criminal Bar Association, former President of Victorian Council for Civil Liberties, former part-time Law Reform Commissioner for Victoria and former member of Bar Council. He was also one of the founding members of the Fitzroy Legal Service, based in the State of Victoria.

He has a successful criminal law practice and enjoys a very high profile in legal circles. He is also a prominent human rights activist and generally an outspoken critic of human rights violations.
