Robert Mercurio was born in Washington, DC on november 11, 1972. he lived in Chevy Chase, MD, until he was 17. he then moved to New Orleans, LA, to attend Tulane University.

He is the bass player and founding member in Galactic, Dragon Smoke, Good Enough For Good Times, amongst others.
