Robert Mascara

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert "Belvedere" Mascara (born c. 1972) is a Television Floor Manager and sometimes personality.

Of Italian descent, Mascara started off on the show Good Morning Australia as a floor manager. Host Bert Newton decided to utilise Mascara as a "taste-tester" for the recipes made on the show by the guest chefs. Newton nicknamed Mascara "Belvedere", in reference to him being second banana. The name was taken from the Looney Tunes cartoon where there was a dog named Belvedere.

Belvedere, after tasting the recipe, would recite a limerick, critiquing the recipe.

Mascara finished working at TEN in February 2007. [Good Morning Australia ended at the end of 2005)

He currently works as a Freelance Floor Manager at TEN on the News, Thank God You're Here, Rove, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader, AFL , Neighbours, Stand Up Australia (for Foxtel), Golf, NBL Basketball and corporate events as an Event Co-Ordinator.
