Robert Inigo Tasker

Sir Robert Inigo Tasker (1868-1959) was a British Conservative politician.
Following an education at Ardingly College Tasker joined his father's architectural practice where he became a senior partner in 1916. He also served in the Volunteers and Territorial forces between 1885-1920, and commanded a battalian of the London Regiment in 1915.
He was a member of London Country Council from 1910-1937, serving as Chairman between 1930-1931.
On the right-wing of the Conservative Party, he was Member of Parliament for Islington East between 1924-1929, and Member of Parliament Holborn between 1933-1945.
He was knighted in 1931.
