Robert Hughes (born October 1, 1986) is a footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Stamford.

He began his career with Nottingham Forestand after several appearances in the reserves, made his Forest debut on 30th September 2006 as an 84th minute substitute in a 3-1 win over Swansea City. He later made his full debut in the 2-1 Football League Trophy win over Gillingham FC. However, he left of his own accord in the summer of 2007, later signing for Stamford.
