[edit] The Theory of Macrodevelopment / Evolution
Robert F. DeHaan, Ph.D, first formulated the Theory of Macrodevelopment in three articles in 1996 and 1997[citation needed]. It presents the evolution of life on earth as a nonlinear process, analogous to the nonlinear process of embryonic developtment--morphogenesis. In other words, the irreversible nonlinear macrodevelopment of the biosphere over millions of years parallels in important ways the irreversible nonlinear microdevelopment of the individual biological organism over its lifetime (especially as an embryo). His theory suggests bold new possibilities in evolutionary research[citation needed].
[edit] Into the Shadows / Psychology
He authored Into the Shadows, an inspiring personal insight into Alzheimer’s disease. The book tells a story of his wife, Roberta, while offering advice and hope. As a Doctor of Pychology, and former chair of the Hope College (Holland, MI) Pychology Department, the book offers an especially effective and relevant resource for Alzheimer’s patients.
