Robert E. Wood (born 1971) is a Canadian painter and writer. He has been painting full time since 1989, and his career follows over 70 years of professional art in his family. Not to be confused with the earlier American plein air artist Robert William Wood.

Born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, he is the son of Karl E. Wood and the grandson of Robert E. Wood. He studied under several artists including his father and Harold L. Lyon.

Wood has been surrounded by art his entire life and took to it from his earliest years, when his grandfather called him "the little painter". He enjoys working on location, plein air painting, which helps his images achieve a sense of true light and life.

In addition to painting, Wood is also a writer. He is co-author, with Barry Morse and Anthony Wynn, of the books Pulling Faces, Making Noises: A Life on Stage, Screen and Radio and Merely Players - The Scripts.

Wood wrote the Space: 1999 compendium The Future is Fantastic! (2001), an armchair guide to the series. He also edited the memoir of British actress Zienia Merton, entitled Anecdotes and Armadillos (2005). Wood's next work, Stories of the Theatre (co-written with Anthony Wynn), followed in 2006; the material in the book combines the drama, tragedy and comedy of theatrical history with tales of actors, actresses, playwrights and critics.

He is also co-author of Remember With Advantages: Chasing 'The Fugitive' and Other Stories from an Actor's Life (2007), the theatrical memoir of Barry Morse.
