Robert Duffy (born December 2, 1982) is a Welsh footballer, is currently without a club having been released from Oxford United. He is older brother to Richard Duffy from Portsmouth Football Club.
Duffy played his junior football in Swansea for Garden Village.
He was signed by Oxford at the beginning of the 2006/07 season, and proved himself a worthy signing, becoming Oxford United's top scorer for the same season.
On the 30th September 2007 Duffy broke his arm after a competitive challenge which put him out for some time. On November 17th, Duffy returned to action as a substitute in the 76th minute to much applause. 13 seconds later, he was trotting off again as he received a red card for hacking a defender's legs. Having become used to Duffy's delayed reactions, manager Patterson claimed that there was no malice in the challenge and that Duffy had been trying to win the ball that had departed from the defender's right boot several seconds earlier.
In January 2008, Duffy joined Wrexham on loan and came on 6 times as substitute. On the 29th of April 2008 Duffy was told that he was not going to be offered a new contract with Oxford. Following Wrexham's relegation from Football League Two, Bolland was not offered a contract by the club at the end of the 2007–08 season.[1]
