Robert DeSimone

Robert DeSimone (Ozone Park, Queens September 1, 1932 - North Port, Florida September 30, 2006) a.k.a. "Skinny Bobby" a.k.a. "Motormouth" is an Italian-American Gambino crime family mob associate.

Robert was the oldest brother of Anthony DeSimone and Thomas DeSimone and Dolores DeSimone. Robert was also a nephew of Frank DeSimone and related to Rosario DeSimone, James DeSimone and was a cousin of Bonanno crime family mobster Joseph DeSimone and Genovese crime family mobster Ralph DeSimone.

Robert DeSimone was married twice. Once to a woman named Helen who sold copper and silver ornaments from their Ozone Park, Queens home and second to a woman named "Beatrice" who he later met in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Robert DeSimone worked under Gambino crime family capo Thomas Agro. He had served two federal sentences in the state penitentary. Robert was referred to his fellow mobsters as a "babe in the woods". He had worked for the Lucchese crime family, Colombo crime family and Genovese crime family before he was chased out of New York City.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment on racketeering with several other Gambino crime family members after Joseph Ianuzzi became an informant for the FBI.
