Robert Cutlar Fergusson (1768 – 1838) was one of the more distinguished members of Clan Fergusson.[citation needed] He was 17th Laird of the Dumfriesshire Fergussons, seated at Craigdarroch (Moniaive, Dumfriesshire).
He was a lawyer; an Attorney-General of Bengal; MP for the Stewardtry of Kirkcudbright, Judge Advocate General and a Privy Councillor.
