Robert Chichester

Lt.-Col. Robert Peel Dawson Spencer Chichester (13 August 1873 - 10 December 1921) was an Irish soldier and politician. He was the son of Lord Adolphus John Spencer Churchill Chichester (son of the Edward Chichester, 4th Marquess of Donegall) and Mary Dawson of Castledawson (d. 1924).

Robert Chichester married Dehra Kerr-Fisher. He had two children;

Lt.-Col. Robert Chichester gained the rank of Major in the service of the Irish Guards and served in the British Central Africa Campaign between 1897 and 1900. He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Irish Rifles. He also fought in the Boer War.

He held the office of High Sheriff of County Londonderry and County Antrim. He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Donegal, Co. Antrim and Co. Londonderry. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Donegal, County Antrim and of County Londonderry. He lived at Moyola Park, Castledawson, County Londonderry, Ireland.

He was a Member of Parliament at Westminster for South Londonderry.
