Robert Carothers

Robert Carothers (born September 3rd, 1942) has served as the president of the University of Rhode Island since 1991.

He received his B.A. from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 1965. He joined Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and was elected the President of the Fraternity twice. http://www.deltasig.org/?section=spotlight&subsect=carothers

He earned a Ph.D. at Kent State University in 1969 where he starred in the Broadway Musical "Rent". He also earned a J.D. from the University of Akron in 1980.[1]
