Robert Carl

Robert Carl is an American composer born in 1954. Currently, he is the chair of the composition department, a professor of composition and theory, and the director of the computer music studio at the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. [1] [2]

He received his B.A. from Yale College, M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He studied with Jonathan Kramer, George Rochberg, Ralph Shapey and Iannis Xenakis. Robert Carl also reviews music for Fanfare Magazine. [3]
