Robert C. Eckhardt

Robert Christian "Bob" Eckhardt (July 16, 1913 - November 13, 2001) was a member of the United States House of Representatives from Texas as a member of the Democratic Party.

Eckhardt attended the University of Texas, ultimately graduating with a law degree in 1939. Eckhardt served in the Army during World War II. Eckhardt served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1959 to 1967. Eckhardt was elected to the U. S. House of Representatives in 1966. Eckhardt served seven terms in the House, and lost in his bid for an 8th term in 1980, losing to Jack Fields.
