Robert Bruce (b. 1955) is an English-born New Age author living in Australia.

Robert Bruce presents energy methods both at metaphyscial workshops held internationally and through the publication of his many works. Through his own personal research he has developed a complete method to stimulate the human energy body and to affect its continued development.
Bruce's New Energy Ways ('NEW') system is represented as one of the most simple procedures available bringing noticeable results in a matter of minutes. The most popular techniques are "body awareness" and "tactile imagery".
Robert Bruce's description of the human energy body and its structures is in basic English terms. For example he calls what Taoist denote as Tan Tiens , the "energy storage centres". Similarly he describes the Vedic term chakras as "energy centres". Through manipulation of energy in metaphysical research he has mapped out energy centres on the human body beyond the familiar spinal chakras. He provides particular precisions not available in Eastern disciplines such as "energy exchange ports".
NEW was conceived of as a system to facilitate Out-Of-Body projection. A special book was created with designer Brian Mercer and NEW was thus converted into a 90-day program to teach Out-Of-Body projection, in the name of "MAP", for "Mastering Astral Projection".
In this regard, MAP may be compared to The Gateway Experience from The Monroe Institute, whose design it is, amongst other tools and purposes, to promote a set of techniques to ease Out-of-body experiences.
Bruce's methods claim to raise the vibration of the human energy body accelerating healing, general well-being and vigor . And the removal of energy blockages allows the greater flow of energy to stimulate the immune system. Also claimed is that the development of the human energy body increases one's spiritual potential to manifest psychic and clairvoyant abilities.
His influences include Robert Monroe and Franz Bardon and other classical authors in the field of out-of-body experience.

Bruce presents workshops and lectures where he instructs in methods to raise chi, shen, and energy, for the above purposes and for Astral Projection, and teaches techniques of projection to the Astral Planes and the Real Time Zone. He also provides consulting services on the internet, including assistance to parents dealing with night terrors in children.
Bruce has written about his purported mystical journeys in the book Astral Dynamics (with introduction by Dr. C. E. Lindgren) and co-authored Mastering Astral Projection with Brian Mercer. His 2002 book Practical Psychic Self Defense details methods of protecting against psychic and spiritual attacks by "negs" (a term coined by Robert Bruce to describe a variety of "negative energy entities").
Bruce is currently working on a treatise on the alleged "Uraeus Effect" of Kundalini yoga, to be published in a series of books on human energy work and spiritual practices, called, "Foundations of Energy Work" and "Energy Work Practices" and "Energy Work Ascension". The first of these books, "Energy Work: The Secret of Healing and Spiritual Development", has been released by Hampton Roads in June 2007.
