Robert Brien

Robert Brien of Sydney, Australia, was a tennis player in the 1960s and 1970s.

As a 19-year-old who had been in the United States for only four months, Brien reached the final at the Cincinnati tournament in 1964 before falling to Herb Fitzgibbon.

According to an article in the July 5, 1964, edition of The Cincinnati Enquirer, Brien had wins over Neale Fraser, Owen Davidson, Tony Roche and Bill Lenoir.

Brien played collegiate tennis at Mississippi State University, where he was a two-time All-American (1966 and 1967).
