Robert Bateman High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert Bateman High School is located in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Halton District School Board and opened in 1970.

Formerly known as Lord Elgin High School, the school merged with General Brock High School in 2004 [1], and named after Robert Bateman, a noted Canadian artist and naturalist. Bateman was an art teacher at Lord Elgin in the 1970s.

It is a relatively large school with 2 floors, 5 computer labs and 3 gyms.

It is currently hosting the IB Programme. People from neighbouring cities come to Bateman, as it is called amongst the students[citation needed], for the IB Programme. The curriculum also features a variety of service-related courses. Successful graduates include John Mennie, Sean Nevans and hockey greats Jared Wiseman and CJ Morrison.
