Robert B. Hawley

Robert Bradley Hawley (October 25, 1849 - November 28, 1921) was a U.S. Representative from Texas.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Hawley attended the public schools and the Christian Brothers' College, Memphis, Tennessee. He moved to Galveston, Texas, in 1875. He was a merchant, importer, and manufacturer in the city of Galveston for twenty years. He served as president of the Galveston Board of Education 1889-1893. Temporary chairman of the Republican State convention at San Antonio September 4, 1890. He served as delegate to several Republican National Conventions.

Hawley was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-fifth and Fifty-sixth Congresses (March 4, 1897-March 3, 1901). He was not a candidate for renomination in 1900. Organized and became president of the Cuban-American Sugar Co. in 1900. He died in New York City November 28, 1921. He was interred in Lake View Cemetery, Galveston, Texas.
