Robert Alexander Anderson (composer)

Robert Alexander Anderson (1894 – 1995), was an American composer who wrote many popular Hawaiian songs, including the Christmas song Mele Kalikimaka and Lovely Hula Hands. He attended Punahou School and graduated from Cornell University in 1916, where he was a member of the Cornell University Glee Club. He wrote many songs as a student there, including When Twilight Falls on Blue Cayuga. He was born and died in Honolulu, HI.
