Robert A. Miller is a former chief justice of the South Dakota Supreme Court.
Miller attended the University of South Dakota, earning both his Bachelor of Science and his Juris Doctor there. He served as Haakon County State's Attorney, Presiding Judge of the 6th Circuit Court, and Assistant Attorney General of South Dakota. Miller was appointed to the South Dakota Supreme Court in 1986 and served as chief justice from 1990 through September 2001.
