[edit] Pro Career
Regan is a former WBO World Bantamweight champion and former interim IBF World Flyweight champion. In 1995 he captured the interim IBF flyweight title with a KO win over Ferid Ben Jeddou. Rather than challenge for the title, he moved up in weight to take on WBO bantamweight title holder Daniel Jimenez in 1996, and won the title by decision. It was to be his last fight. He attempted a come-back after two years out of the ring with glandular fever, but failed an MRI scan and was banned from boxing. [1]
[edit] Troubles Outside the Ring
Regan was arrested for assault [2] and aggravated burglary and later jailed for 18 months for assaulting a couple in their home. [3]
