Robert Stephen Jarvis (born May 7, 1986) is a British actor who played young James Potter, Harry Potter's father, in the movie adaptation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007).
He has performed on stage, with the Weaver Hughes Ensemble[citation needed]. In 2006 he made a brief appearance in Nickelodeon show Genie In The House and did some voice work for the acclaimed film The History Boys. He has also guest starred in episodes of Waking the Dead for the BBC and ITV's Trial & Retribution.

Jarvis was born in Somerset, England and attended the Littlehampton Community School and Chichester College. He joined the National Youth Theatre aged 16 and has since performed with the company several times. He holds BTEC National Diploma in acting, and studied briefly at RADA.
He is a keen footballer and basketball player.
He is reportedly a direct descendant of English Poet Laureate John Skelton. [1]
