Robbert Schilder (born April 18, 1986 in Amstelveen) is a Dutch footballer who currently plays as a defender or midfielder for Ajax.
Via amateur sides NFC and Amstelveen Heemraad Schilder joined Ajax and was part of the first squad since the start of the 2005-06 season. He made his Eredivisie debut on February 8, 2006 in a 1-0 win over Willem II. During the season he would play another three league matches and Ajax won the KNVB Cup. Schilder participated in the 2006 Johan Cruijff-schaal clash with PSV Eindhoven which was won 3-1. A few weeks later he was sent on loan to Heracles Almelo where he became one of the key players that played almost all matches and helped the team to prevent it from playing promotion/relegation play-offs with Eerste Divisie sides at the end of the season.
In 2007 Schilder was called up by Jong Oranje coach Foppe de Haan to be part of his squad for the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship held in the Netherlands, that retained their title and that qualified for 2008 Summer Olympics by beating Serbia 4-1 in the final. After the tournament and the summer break Schilder returned to Ajax to focus on the 2007-08 season. He did not play in the 1-0 win over PSV Eindhoven to claim their third consecutive Johan Cruijff-schaal, but he made his appearance in the first Eredivisie match in which newly promoted De Graafschap was overclassed in an 8-1 win.
