Rob "Coach" Fulton
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rob "Coach" Fulton became the first person ever to win $1,000,000 on any Australian television show on 17 October 2005. He won the top prize on Australia's version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? on the Nine Network, hosted by Eddie McGuire. He was the 601st contestant and was on the 270th and 271st episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. His $1,000,000 question was, "Which of these popular 60's television shows premiered first? A: Bewitched, B: Get Smart, C: Hogan's Heroes, D: I Dream of Jeannie." The answer was Bewitched.[1]
He is nicknamed "Coach" because of the similarity between his name and that of former Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles rugby league coach Bob Fulton.
On a recent episode of the United States edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, an early question was "Rob Fulton, a resident of Sydney, was the first Million Dollar winner on what country's version of Millionaire?" The contestant didn't hesitate and got the answer correct.
