Rob James-Collier is an English actor and model. He is best known for his role as Liam Connor in Coronation Street.

Having no experience as an actor, Rob went for auditions for the series Down To Earth, but stars Ricky Tomlinson and Denise Welch were convinced by his talent and he got the part of the womanising pub landlord at The Black Bull Tavern in the show. In 2006 he joined Coronation Street as one of the brothers buying a share of the local knicker factory. He will be leaving Coronation street at the end of 2008 when his current contract expires.

He also played a small part as "Stud" in Shameless series 3, episode 5 under the name of Rob Collier.

He also modelled for Argos in their catalogues where he appears in the current Autumn/Winter 2007 and Spring/Summer 2008 catalogue.

Rob went to the same school as his on-screen wife Maria (Samia Smith).

Rob won the award for Sexiest Male at the 2007 British Soap Awards, voted for by the public. He won in the same category in 2008.[1]

Until his interview with Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton on UK daytime tv show This Morning on the tenth of July, 2007, he had never been interviewed on a live television show.

In an interview in early 2008, Collier announced he was to leave the soap, but was planning to come back in the future.[2]

At the 2008 British Soap Awards, Rob won the sexiest male award. Rob was clearly dissapointed with the win and hinted he was hoping for a best actor award.
