Rob Hyland

Rob Hyland (born June 11, 1967) is an American film and television actor. Born in Tucson, Arizona, Hyland graduated from Rincon High School in 1985 and went on to study at the University of Arizona. He received a Fine Arts degree in Media Arts in December 1990.

Hyland most recently played the "Immigration Officer" who asks tough questions of the title character in the film drama "Alma". Directed and written by award-winning filmmaker Yuri Makino, "Alma" began festival screenings in 2007.

In April 2007, "Alma" won The Ledo Matteoli Award for Best Immigrant Story at the Humboldt Film Festival in Arcata, California.

In the comedy film "America 101", Hyland plays the "Border Patrolman" who does not believe the stories of the two brothers who are trying to turn themselves in and want to be deported out of the country.

"America 101" is the 2005 winner of the Audience Prize at both the Golden Film Festival in Colorado and the Dances With Films festival in Santa Monica, California. It was released on DVD in October 2006.

From August 2002 - April 2003, Hyland played the role of "Paulie", the hitman and bodyguard on the ABC television drama "General Hospital".
