Robert M. "Rob" Hogg is the Iowa State Senator from the 19th District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2006. He received his BA from the University of Iowa and his JD and MA from the University of Minnesota. His prior political experience includes serving in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2002 – 2006.

Hogg currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Appropriations committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; the Ways and Means committee; and the Judiciary committee, where he is vice chair. He also serves on the Justice System Appropriations Subcommittee.

Hogg was elected in 2006 with 14,112 votes, defeating Republican opponent Renee Schulte. [1]
