Rob. STP (born Robert STEFAN November 22, 1978) is an Austrian music producer/ songwriter/ Dj.
[edit] Brief overview
In the late 90's he was one of the driving forces to establish the Austrian drum and bass scene, which now is one of the country's strongest music scenes. He has been about the busiest drum and bass DJ in Austria over the last decade with prime time slots at all major events. The name "STP" refers to his hometown St. Poelten (STP).
In 1999 he founded the "RELOAD MUSIC NETWORK" together with DJ Tempest. This network is responsible for spreading drumandbass all over the Province of Lower Austria. In 2004 together with Bauza he formed the production outfit "BODY & SOUL" and got the chance to participate in a large production contest and instantly won the competition. The task was to remix the Ez-rollerz track "roadrunner". In came a record contract with Intercom Recordings. After several releases on different record labels BODY & SOUL were signed to Bad Company Recordings , having released about 8 tracks on this imprint to date In 2004 Rob. STP started working with Meph13 and co-founded "Urban Art Forms" (UAF), an audio-visual event management and production company. [1] Whilst Rob. STP happens to be the Art Director Meph13 is the CEO of the company. In August 2005 the first UAF outdoor electronic festival took place and attracted more people than any other electronic festival in Austria ( about 15.000 on three days) and was then continued in 2006. 2005 saw Rob. STP forming the band "17th Boulevard" together with Bauza from BODY & SOUL and Marcus Smaller from Austrian punkband "3 feet smaller". Appaerently they writing an album at the moment but they have released one track "memories" on Bad Taste Recordings.
