[edit] List of non-love songs

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of non-love songs, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Acroterion (talk) 21:11, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] No content in Category:Country ballads

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Country ballads, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Country ballads has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Country ballads, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Motor vehicle classification blends

This new article you created appears to have no reason to exist. It has no new information, no references, no citations -- what exactly is its purpose? 842U (talk) 10:25, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

See the article for further discussion -- let's keep the discussion there. 842U (talk) 23:02, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] You're edits to articles about radio formats and stations

I've reverted your edits to articles about radio formats and stations. Wikipedia is not a soapbox and only facts cited to reliable sources are welcome in articles. I've written more here. Graham87 06:35, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Grand Theft Auto: Nickelodeon City

A tag has been placed on Grand Theft Auto: Nickelodeon City requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. // Chris (complaints)(contribs) 04:07, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

Hello there from the Michigan State Highways Project! We're always appreciative of new editors interested in helping edit and write the articles on Michigan's state trunkline highway system. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime. MSHP is a part of the larger U.S. Roads wikiproject and we use their resources in expanding and assessing the articles we write. There is also a companion task force for the County-Designated Highway system and other notable county roads, WP:MCDH that's forming. Imzadi1979 (talk) 07:06, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Song articles

Sure, no problem, I'll do it! Oh, by the way, not every ballad in the R&B and/or soul genre is a slow jam. You should take a look at Slow jam for more information. Funk Junkie (talk) 18:22, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Yes, maybe "Category:Rhythm and blues ballads" would be more suitable. The slow jam article also states that "the term is most commonly reserved for soft-sounding songs with heavily emotional or romantic lyrical content", and songs like "Baby Love" and "So Sick" are not really soft-sounding, unlike "Let's Get It On" and "Kiss of Life", for example. So maybe "Category:Rhythm and blues ballads" could replace "Category:Slow jams" to avoid confusion or something like that. What do you think? Funk Junkie (talk) 18:59, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 5/29 DYK

Updated DYK query On 30 May 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article U.S. Route 127 in Michigan, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

[edit] Passenger car disambiguation

While I understand the reasoning behind moving the article about railroad rolling stock and making passenger car a disambiguation page, the page move created a large amount of work to ensure that links to the phrase were updated to the correct locations. Further, a better destination for the article about railroad rolling stock is its present location at passenger car (rail). Members of WikiProject Trains, including myself, went through and finished the work that this page move created (this article's discussion).

In future, please get the associated WikiProjects involved (generally they are listed in banners on the article talk pages) when a page move is needed for disambiguation and discuss the move on the article's talk page first. Thanks. Slambo (Speak) 14:23, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
