Road tax

Road tax is a general term used for tax paid for usage of automobiles to the local or central government. For road tax in UK or U.S. see Vehicle excise duty. It has also been adopted by the Road and Traffic Authority of [Dubai, United Arab Emirates] to "to control the flow of traffic and ease congestion." Its expected annual revenue, according to said authority, is US$ 163 million. The project is effective July 1, 2007.[1]
