Can I suggest a reorganisation of this category structure?

Not many actual pages would be located in this category.

Each jurisdiction will have up to twelve subcategories, eaching being a subcategory of two othe above i.e.

      • Category:Freeways in Sydney, New South Wales
      • Category:Freeways in rural New South Wales
      • Category:Highways in Sydney, New South Wales
      • Category:Highways in rural New South Wales
      • Category:Motorways in Sydney, New South Wales
      • Category:Motorways in rural New South Wales
      • Category:Toll roads in Sydney, New South Wales
      • Category:Toll roads in rural New South Wales
      • Category:Major roads in Sydney, New South Wales
      • Category:Major roads in rural New South Wales
      • Category:Tracks in rural New South Wales
      • Category:City streets in Sydney, New South Wales

etc

All individual roads/streets/highways/lists etc would fall into one of these categories.

Nice suggestion shouldn't take to long to change existing over. Suggest also these categories with state break down

I think Toll roads should be one branch further down the tree i.e.

  • Category:Roads in Australia
    • Category:Roads in New South Wales
      • Category:Motorways in Sydney, New South Wales
        • Category:Toll roads in Sydney, New South Wales

My thoughts Gnangarra 07:31, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

One more point maybe we should also categorised the difference between Rural and Remote/Outback tracks, personally I dont think by any stretch of the imagination could the Canning Stock Route be called a Rural Track Gnangarra 07:51, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. I merely chose the word "rural" as a word along the lines of "the rest of Western Australia" etc. Ian peters 09:28, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
