Romaine H. "Ro" Foege is the Iowa State Representative from the 29th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 1996. He received his BA from Wartburg College and his MSW from the University of Iowa.
Foege currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Administration and Rules committee; the Appropriations committee; the Education committee; and the Human Resources committee. He also serves as the chair of the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as the chair of the Linn County Human Resources Management Board from 1992-1995 and serving on the School Board of Directors for Marion Independent Schools from 1969-1973.
Foege was re-elected in 2006 with 8,055 votes, defeating Republican opponent Emma Nemecek. [1]
