Talk:RMS Empress of Japan (1891)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Were both Empress of Japan I and II known as "Queen of the Pacific"? According to the references, both held speed records for crossing the Pacific, but the reference for that nickname only discusses Empress II, not the 1890 version. Bobanny 16:42, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- I removed the brackets from the name of the 2nd ship, in the same way the Queen doesn't go by Queen Elizabeth (II) or the guy on Gilligan's Island isn't Thurston Howl (III). If I'm wrong, feel free to put them back, but please explain why they are required.Bobanny 21:59, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wasn't there also an Empress of India?
I mean, a ship, not HM Victoria....there was another "Empress" wasn't there, Empress of China maybe?Skookum1 (talk) 18:04, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Yes -- see List of ocean liners or see CP Ships. --Tenmei (talk) 14:24, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
