Non-free use disputed for Image:No Name Face.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:No Name Face.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:52, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Template:Singles on WP:ALBUM again

Hey linca, I see you mentioned Template:Singles on Template:Infobox Album/doc. I raised some concerns about recommending the use of Template:Singles at WT:ALBUM that I think need to be resolved. --PEJL 13:07, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian music

You previously indicated an interest in this at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals. I've started up a new page but it needs lots of work. Come on over and join up. Regards. —Moondyne 17:59, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Re: Bot help!

Sounds reasonable. Using AutoWikiBrowser is probably the easiest way to run a bot if you don't have programming experience. It's a convenient tool that makes repetitive tasks much easier. In order to use it you need to be registered first but it's no big deal. The tool will allow you to make a list of pages that transclude {{Infobox music DVD}}, load them and automatically apply changes you specify in find and replace settings. You will only need to click "save" and the next page will load up automatically. You could also take advantage of regular expressions because using them makes find and replace settings very flexible. I found this page very helpful, there are also many tutorials about regexes online. Opening a separate account and requesting for approval will allow you to edit pages using AWB in automatic mode but I suggest that you try to make some edits manually first. If that sounds too complicated you can also request work to be done by a bot or just ask me to do this :-) Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help as much as I can. Regards, Jogers (talk) 12:08, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Untitled Korn Album

Hey, just to let you know, their new album IS untitled. If you go to www.kornunleashed.net, you will find that THE BAND MEMBERS THEMSELVES have been STATING REPEATEDLY that this album WILL BE UNTITLED. If you would, please go back and revert your edits. After all, how much sense does it make to have 2 self-titled albums? How would you distinguish between the 2? I'm not mad, I'm just trying to help you and all the other confused Korn fans out. Chasing Mississippi

Regarding this edit, I really don't see how you figure that this is low-res. When you print this thing out, it becomes 16cm - larger than the physical cover itself! So in fact, this is not low-res, but rather super high-res. I'm going to go ahead and revert the description. Still waiting on some feedback regarding the image's size, and whether or not the image itself should be reverted.

Please understand that I would love to have a higher-res copy on WP, and I'd be willing to bet that Dave Barnes wouldn't mind in the least. But the goal here is to create a free encyclopedia, and we can't do that if we're stepping on other people's copyrights. tiZom(2¢) 14:54, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Only when printed on a poor quality or home printer does the image come out larger than the original version. When printed at standard professional print def (as described in what I noted there) the image comes out at about 4cm, significantly less than even a CD sleeve, let alone the Record slpi for the album which is twice as wide and twice as tall (i.e. 4 times the size). --lincalinca 02:23, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Let me jump in here: I think I remember seeing comments saying nothing above 250x250 is considered low-resultion. No references, sorry. --PEJL 08:52, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Update: I wrote that before I saw the comment just posted on WT:ALBUM saying nothing above 300x300 is considered low-resultion. --PEJL 08:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Powderfinger Awards

Hey Linca, good work on setting up a separate page for the awards. I was thinking the other day that we should do that as the main Powderfinger page looked too cluttered with all of the tables of awards. Slabba 05:05, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

2008 in music and IP 61.5.92.xxx

Please see User talk:72.75.70.147#Brooke Hogan ... I wish you had reported this anon vandal sooner, but after cleaning up beau coup other articles to which they've made WP:CRYSTAL violations to in the past 48 hours (with their English as a second language use of Leading Caps and never leaving an edit summary as fairly obvious identifiers for being the same individual), I've managed to get an admin to block the range temporarily. :-) —72.75.70.147 11:11, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

2007 in music and IP 61.94.xxx.xxx

Hello again, Rm w a vu/Archives/2007 ... I have asked PeaceNT (talk · contribs) to protect 2007 in music for the same reason that they protected 2008 in music last night ... the anon. vandal from Jakarta is back:

The first two are in the "companion" range we identified that was Too Large to block, and the third is from the range that was temporarily blocked.

Frack me for even bothering to check up on this again after last night! :-) Happy Editing! —72.75.70.147 (talk · contribs) 07:54, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

I noticed your help in "singles" section in Songs for the Deaf article, and I'd like to ask if you could help me in "background information" section"? Broken soul 12:01, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

I'll give you a hand over the next few days. I'm trying to get Dream Days at the Hotel Existence to GA status, but I'll pitch in with whatever I can. The main thing about the background I'd note is the departure of the drummer and Dave Grohl's time with the band and then, though not directly related to this albu, as it was his last, also use a minor bit of information about his departure also (something ilke in the article for the new Korn album about Terry Bozzio, but nowhere near that poorly written, but judging by your work so far, that shouldn't be an issue). --lincalinca 15:42, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

John Mayer discography

I noticed your work on that chart, and that is nice.--Esprit15d (talk ¤ contribs) 14:41, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

What happened to your edit? It originally said it was hot? Anyway, it's a standard mediawiki thing to be able to sort out the tables, and I find it useful. It was a bit of a pain initially trying to get those that didn't chart to sit after those that did, but I got there in the end (though, possibly not in the optimal way). --lincalinca 15:39, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Extra musicsample

I see you added the Type= parameter to {{Extra musicsample}}. The parameter is undocumented, which I can fix, but I'd like to see a change first and I don't know how to do it. Right now the parameter is "Type", but I'd like to see it accept "type" or "Type". The other parms are lowercase. Got any suggestions? John Cardinal 03:14, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

I think the term is "switch" or something. Generally with templates, though, it's encouraged just to use one term and stick with it to avoid confusion and encourage consistency. I'd be fine with you changing it to "type" but you may have to work through the articles that don't implement the tag to fix them, otherwise they'll come up with a peach colour, indicating that no type has been associated with it. --lincalinca 03:24, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Wait, I just realised you were talking about the infobox music sample template. I was thinking the extra traclisting template. For that, it shouldn't be an issue, just change it. The template's not used in that many articles. --lincalinca 03:25, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
