[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:STUDIO60TITLECARD.svg)

Thanks for uploading Image:STUDIO60TITLECARD.svg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Her name is KENWRIGHT. If you don't believe me, go to 16:29 in the episode "B-12." Matt walks into the room and introduces her as "Lucy Kenwright," NOT "Kenworthy." The two sound nothing alike and I just checked this instant on my iPod. Please don't change her name again. Nerrolken 07:42, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

I apologize if I sounded uncivil, I was frustrated after changing so many pages. I do, however, apologize.
As for your points, I have just checked the credits of the show, and I can't find her being listed at all. I checked "B-12," the episode in which the quote to which I referred originated, "Nevada Day pt II," the first episode in which she played a noticable role, and the Pilot, the first episode in which she appeared at all. She's not listed on NBC's website or the fictional website for Studio 60 on NBS. Which credits are you referring to?
And IMDB lists her as Kenworthy in some, but as Kenwright in The Christmas Show, the episode immediately following B-12, with the quote from Matt. (Look up Lucy Davis's page and you can see how it changes between episodes, as opposed to the Studio 60 page which just lists her name once: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0205063/. This contradiction also indicates that the show's producers aren't the ones posting the info). So, since IMDB is contradicting itself and I can't find her name on any credits sequence, I don't see where you're getting Kenworthy so definitively from. It seems to me to at least be an issue in question, although Matt saying her name in the episode seems the defining piece of evidence to me.
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just have a solid quote from the show on my side, so to convince me you're going to need to show me something more convincing than a self-contradicting IMDB page and an elusive credit. I've given you the minute and second mark of one of the show's main characters using her name in front of her without her correcting him. Isn't that pretty much a definitive event? Even more so than IMDB, even if it was unanimously in agreement? Let me know what you think, and if you still disagree, please let me know why. If you do turn out to be right, I'd like to be convinced of it, rather than just shut down and left frustrated, you know? Nerrolken 09:09, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Had any chance to look over the whole Lucy thing? You seem to be hanging around Wikipedia, (I have several of the Studio 60 pages on my watchlist), but there's no word on the Kenworthy/Kenwright issue. I'm just curious to hear what you find. Ok, man, I'm tired of this game. You asked for three days and it's been nine. I've not only let you keep it your way while you investigate, despite the most definitive evidence being in my corner, I've provided you with the evidence myself. I've addressed both points that you made and you have yet to address mine, and throughout the whole thing I have attempted to be calm and rational, waiting for you to present evidence for your case that we could discuss logically. But now you seem to be ignoring my messages altogether, despite your Contributions page showing that you've logged on a number of times since I last messaged you. Now, considering that I went through and changed every reference in the entire Studio 60 page series to the correct name in the first place, (before you reverted them all out of hand as if it was your right to approve all changes), it seems only fair that you would put them all back after your investigation. However, that investigation now seems to have been adandoned entirely. I respectfully request that you either stop ignoring me and tell me when you will address my evidence, or concede the point and change them back.
You came to me, demanded that I wait while you look into it, and now you're blowing me off. Now, I am open to a discussion about conflicting points of view, in fact I relish such discussions, but I do not like having people demand my time, and then waste it. If I haven't heard back from you in 24 hours, I will revert all of your posts myself, regardless of your opinions on the matter. Ok, I've changed them all back. While I was doing it, though, I was wondering... Would this controversy be worth noting in her article? Other articles have discussions about common misunderstandings and controversies, etc, and seeing as how IMDB itself listed both names and such, I thought this might qualify. I'm pretty much wiping my hands of this issue after tonight, but feel free to add it if you want, especially if you come up with any more points in the "Kenworthy" category. It might even be helpful, since other people have changed her name back and forth before we did, so acknowledging it and explaining the issue might stop future arguments, you know? I'm not exactly sure what you mean regarding {{yearbox}}. Specifically, I'm not sure what this means: "it makes the bottom row appear wrongly." I honestly don't see anything wrong about it so please clarify on my talk page and I'll be happy to look into it. Cburnett 21:58, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Missy Higgins & John Mayer images

You didn't tag them as fair use - you tagged one as GFDL and one as CC Attribution Sharealike, with no evidence that the creators of the images released them under such a license. Since there are plenty of alternative 'free' images available on Flickr, there's absolutely no reason we should possibly use these copyrighted ones. If you're going to be so rude and assume that I think I'm just above the rules, you should at least be right. Don't waste my time like that. — Rebelguys2 talk 19:13, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm not too keen on guiding people who can't act civil themselves, and I'm not up for helping people who lash out at people who know what they're doing. But, anyway...
Neither of them are free images. Images from Flickr are, by default, not free unless specifically licensed that way. I don't know if the John Mayer image is free or not - you haven't provided any evidence, and I can't find the image on Flickr as a freely-licensed one. The Missy Higgins image is certainly not free - you provided the evidence, and the evidence points toward the opposite conclusion you made. "All rights reserved" does not mean free for the taking.
At the same time, there exist free alternatives to the current images. As a result, there is no possible fair use rationale. Period. — Rebelguys2 talk 04:44, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Aaron Sorkin article

Lincalinca, I would like to ask for your help in bettering the Aaron Sorkin article. I've appreciated your edits over at the Studio 60 article and I think you could help me out. I have made extensive edits to the Sorkin article, and have tried to make it both interesting and factual. I would appreciate if you could as a peer, review the article and perhaps even help with the lead section. I'm hoping to set the Sorkin biography on a track leading to Featured Article status eventually. It would be a first, because as far as I can tell there isn't a Screenwriter yet who's been featured.
